Welcome to my research portfolio!
As an experienced researcher, I have worked on a variety of projects that have honed my skills and have allowed me to develop a deep expertise in my field.
My portfolio showcases some of my past research projects, which range from large-scale research studies to smaller, more focused projects.

My Academic Story
I completed my PhD in Social and Personality Psychology, with an additional diploma in Quantitative Methods. In general, my research focused on how different stereotypes contribute to different outcomes for various racial groups. More specifically, my research was focused on examining the impact of stereotypes on academic outcomes, particularly for racial minority groups. In other words, I looked at how different stereotypes (for example about intelligence or academic ability) affect student outcomes.
An example of this would be how parents' stereotypes about math ability shape parents' interactions with their sons versus their daughters. Or, how these stereotypes, in turn, shape children's interests in math/ science classes, as well as children's perceptions of their own ability (such as whether they are naturally good at math or not!).
As a teaching assistant, I spent several years working closely with students across a variety of academic topics, most notably in courses related to academic writing and essay development. Through this experience, I began to notice key areas where students often required additional help with idea development and clarity in writing, leading me to develop strategies and implement different techniques that helped students gain confidence and improve their writing ability.
